Documentation
Source comments and API documentation need to be kept up to date.
Repositories
There is still a basic structure for the different repositories.
Advanced management of files ; documents and images should be available and a right management mechanism should be added for users access.
Templates
The easy-cms xml taglib is still poor. More tags classes must be implemented (for example an include tag allowing to include a page template as part of another template).
Import and export functions
XML is native in easy-CMS. Importing and exporting content from and to other websites or CMS should be made possible. RSS features could also be added.
Staging environement & Content Workflow
The workflow is a very simple "published or not" mechanism. Different steps before the final publication ("staging") could be usefull.
Web stats
Useful stats infos : log of IP adresses for each new session and viewed pages counter.
Search Engine
Even if the conception of website is perfect, it is often quicker or easier to find content by giving keywords. Here could comes a search engine. (nothing done so far).
Security
Passwords are encrypted using an md5 hashing so that the administrator never knows the users passwords. However, the identification process should be protected using SSL.
